About: A user's role in a Live Video Cloud team defines its permissions to configure elements or see certain areas in the user interface.
Live Video Cloud provides 3 user roles with the following permissions.
Contributor
The contributor role has the fewest permissions. Editors and managers can assign contributors (or other users) to productions, which allows them to configure their external devices as inputs to assigned productions.
Contributors are able to:
- Access and configuration personal account settings
- Manage their own external devices
Editor
Editors are the operators of a Live Video Cloud team.
Editors are able to:
- All permissions of the contributor role
- Access and configuration of inputs, productions, outputs, and assets
- Route signals
- Transfer and download recordings
- Access and configuration of transfer targets
- Access team members
- Invite contributors
- Assign contributor and editor roles to users
Manager
Managers are the admins of a Live Video Cloud team.
Managers are able to:
- All permissions of the editor role
- Invite editors and managers
- Change a user's role
- Access and export system usage
