About: Adjust the transcoding settings used for your configured destinations. Pick a preset from a list of optimized settings for popular streaming platforms or configure your custom profile.
Change transcoding settings
To edit the transcoding settings:
- Select "Transcoding" in the top navigation.
In the dialog, follow the instructions below:
Video settings
- (Optional) Preset: Select one of the prepared presets that are optimized for various destinations and formats.

PID out: For transport stream outputs (SRT/HLS/UDP) you can chose your custom PID for the video stream. Valid range 0-8191. Make sure your selected PID does not conflict with the selected audio PID and SCTE35 PID.
- Video resolution: Select the target resolution of your video.
- Framerate: Select the target framerate.
- Video bitrate: Enter a target video bitrate in Mbit/s between 0.1 and 20
- System muxrate offset: This setting is configured by LTN - by default the system adds 20% muxer offset, but up on request this value can be changed by the LTN support. Finally your defined audio- and video-bitrates together with the defined muxer offset (X% or your AV-bitrate) results in the transport stream bitrate.
- Transport stream bitrate: Shows your final transport stream output bitrate -> audio- and video-bitrates together with the defined muxer offset (X% or your AV-bitrate)
- GOP duration: Select your preferred GOP duration in seconds.
- Field order: Select progressive, top frame first (TFF) or bottom frame first (BFF).
Audio settings
- Audio bitrate: Select a target audio bitrate in Kbit/s.
- Audio samplerate: Select a target audio samplerate in kHz.
- PID out: For transport stream outputs (SRT/HLS/UDP) you can chose your custom PID for the audio streams. Valid range 0-8191. Make sure your selected PID does not conflict with the selected video PID and SCTE35 PID.
- Audio channel & Audio codec: Select your preferred audio channel and audio codec from these options: Stereo AAC, Stereo AC3, Stereo MP2, 5.1 AC3
