Time zone
By default, the system uses the browser time. To change that disable the option that says Use browser time zone.
If disabled, the custom time zone select becomes editable:
Now you can select your preferred time zone and press Save to apply the change.
To see which time zone is currently set up by a glance, the time zone abbreviation is displayed beside the system clock in the bottom area of the Schedule tab:
Date format
The date format of the Schedule system can be changed to one of these formats:
- DD/MM/YY - Day-Month-Year with leading zeros
- MM/DD/YY - Month-Day-Year with leading zeros
- YY/MM/DD - Year-Month-Day with leading zeros
The setting for this can be found in the General settings under the Time zone & date format section:
Daylight saving time
Time change in case of local fall- and spring-time-changes
Internally, Schedule uses UTC time (no daylight saving time changes). The representation of your local (browser) time will jump one hour back/forward (fall/spring) in the UI - including the playing element at the moment of the time change. That actually means that the playlist continues and stays at the same position and in the same order than before - only the displayed time shifts 1h back from 3AM to 2AM (fall) or 1h forward from 2AM to 3AM (spring).
Hint: Before the time change takes place, make sure that your scheduled content is planned +1h (fall) or -1h (spring) for fixed (local) start-times in the future (after the time change). This will have the effect that your asset start time will fit the time after the +/-1h time-change moved your complete playlist-represenation 1h back or forward.
Remember: The order of all elements is not changed by the time change - it´s just a visual time representation change within your local Schedule user interface that happens when the day light saving time change takes place.
