Recommended encoding settings for streaming platforms

About: Streaming platforms like Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube provide specific recommendations and requirements when ingesting live video to their platforms. When streaming to those or similar platforms, your encoding settings should match the recommendations. When using passthrough outputs, the encoding settings must be adjusted on your upstream encoder before ingest to Live Video Cloud. When using transcoded outputs the encoding settings must be adjusted in the quality settings of your transcoded output.

Hint: All required and recommended settings are owned and provided by the respective streaming platforms. Hence changes might occur at any point in time. We recommend checking the encoding recommendations of your regularly used streaming platform when undesired behaviors or connectivity issues occur.

    • 60 fps and 1920 x 1080 px
