About: The playlist displays all your assets that are planned to be played out and the currently playing item. To add assets to the playlist you first need to add files or live streams to your library.
Building a playlist
To build your playlist, simply drag files from the library to the playlist.
You can move elements in the playlist or copy and paste elements to other positions.
Then you can drag and drop elements from the library right into your playlist view (default view) or into the calendar view that shows you planned content on a daily / monthly day picker view..
In the example picture above, we are dragging the new element between 2 existing elements. In this case the system will ask you how to proceed. Options are:
- Move all following asset(s) --> This option will move all upcoming assets in the playlist with the length of the inserted asset forward. (Locked playlist elements will not be moved and block this process)
-
Overwrite by deleting or trimming overlapping items --> This option will overwrite the following planned elements. Elements that are not completely overlapping are trimmed of from the end of the file - overlapping live streams scheduled time elements are shorted in this case.

Instant file drop (available since version 9.0.1)
If you want to instantly drop a file in the playlist without selecting from possible collision options each time, you can press shift while dropping the file and the following items will be moved automatically. When the instant drop is active there is a green highlight around the edges of the drop position.
