About: Opening an asset allows you to play, trim, transfer, and download the asset.
Open an asset
You can access a detailed view of an asset anywhere, where you see a live signal or asset.
Option A: Open from assets
- Go to assets.
- Make sure you are in list view.
- Double-click an asset. Alternatively, you can select an asset and click open at the top right of the inspector.
Option B: Open from inputs
- Go to inputs.
- Make sure you are in tile view.
- Double-click a live signal. Alternatively, you can select a live signal and click open at the top right of the inspector.
- At the top, select trim.
Option C: Open from productions
- Go to productions.
- Select a live input signal.
- In the inspector, click open at the top right.
Video playback
The video playback is displayed above the player controls and will automatically resize to use the maximum available space without scaling up the content.
If the asset is an ongoing recording, a preview of the live signal is displayed at the top right corner. Click the live preview to open the live signal.
Player controls
The player controls consists of three rows to handle playback, timeline, and transfer or download.
A - Playback controls
- Loop trim: The selected trim area is played in a loop.
- Play trim: Play the video starting at the current trim IN point.
- Skip backward: Jump back to the beginning of the video.
- Play/Pause: Play or pauses the video.
- Skip forward: Jump forward to the current end of the video.
- Volume: Mute, unmute, and control the volume of the audio.
B - Timeline controls
- Current timecode: The currently played timecode if displayed on the left of the timeline.
- Trim IN point: Drag and drop to set the start of the trim area.
- Play point: Click or drag on the timeline to skim through the video.
- Trim Out point: Drag and drop to set the end of the trim area.
- Total timecode: The total length of the video is displayed on the right of the timeline.
C - Transfer and download controls
- Trim IN timecode: Enter a timecode to set the start of the trim area.
- Trim OUT timecode: Enter a timecode to set the end of the trim area.
- Transfer target: Select a configured transfer target you export the segment to.
- Transfer: Transfer the selected trim area.
- Download: Download the selected trim area.
