About: The Video Preview Player lets users monitor video streams directly within the Portal, either from the Monitoring page or the Bookings page.

Overview

The Video Preview Player feature in the Portal allows users to quickly monitor their video streams through an integrated player. Users can access the player either from the Monitoring page by clicking the Video Player button, which opens a modal with the channel’s video, or directly from the Bookings page within the Booking Details modal, where the player appears on the right-hand side.

Video Player Functionalities

The Video Preview Player offers a range of controls and display options to enhance the monitoring experience:

1. Play/Pause the video
2. Toggle audio on or off
3. Start/Stop video
4. Show closed captions for accessibility
5. Start Picture-in-Picture mode for multitasking
6. View the video in fullscreen
7. Audio levels for the current stream

How to Access the Video Preview Player

1. On the Monitoring Page

• Navigate to the Monitoring page.
• Click on the Video Player button for the desired channel.
• A modal window will open, displaying the video player for that channel.

2. On the Bookings Page

• Go to the Bookings page.
• Open a specific booking by clicking on it.
• In the Booking Details modal, the Video Player will appear on the right-hand side, allowing you to preview the stream directly.

3. On the Distribution Groups

• Go to Distribution Groups under the Bookings Page.
• Open a specific Group by clicking on it.
• In the Distribution Group Details modal, click on Video Preview to see the Preview Player.

 

Status Messages

In some scenarios, the video preview may not be available due to the following reasons:

Scenario	Message
Preview is not running	Click the Play button to start the video.
Connection/Server Issues	Unable to connect to video preview. Please try again later.
Resource limit reached	Video preview unavailable due to resource limits.
Access/Permission Issues	Video preview is not available or you don't have permission to view it.

If the video preview is unavailable, users may need to check stream status, permissions, or consult support for further troubleshooting.
