Overview
Ci Media Cloud is an external library integration that links your Sony Ci workspace to LTN Schedule. Once connected, all assets in your assigned Ci workspace become accessible through the Schedule asset library. Assets can be dragged directly into the playlist, and the system handles downloading in the background. Archived assets are supported through an automatic unarchiving workflow that restores them before use.
Connect Ci Media Cloud as external library
To connect a new Ci storage:
- Click on "More" in the library.
- Select "Manage libraries".
In the "Manage libraries" dialog:
- Click on the "Add" in the top right corner of the dialog.
- Select Ci Media Cloud from the dropdown.
In the "Modify Ci Media Cloud" dialog:
- Library name: Enter the name of your Ci library.
- Authentication: Choose Authentication method.
Authentication with Personal account
- Token: After successful SSO your token will be displayed here. Use manual copy&paste if the transmission in the background doesn't work.
- Status: Shows the status of the Login. To login in initially, click on the button Sign in with Ci Media Cloud.
After logging in with your personal Sony Ci account, you need to click Allow (5) when asked to let LTN Schedule access your cloud files.
- Status: Changed after successful autorization
- Workspace: Select the workspace you want to use in LTN Schedule.
Authentication with Service account
- Username & Password: Enter username & password.
- Login: Click login, to login to your account.
When done with either of these authentication methods, press "Save changes" to finish the process.
After you connected your new Ci Media Cloud storage, switch to the library to access and use your cloud files.
Using archived Ci assets
When an asset has been archived in the Ci Media Cloud, it will show its status in the library inspector:
These files can be added to the playlist in the same way as available assets, but they first need to be unarchived before they are being downloaded and available in the playlist.
This happens automatically once the asset has been dragged into the playlist.
The unarchiving process can take several hours. During that process the element is represented as a placeholder in the playlist, which works similar to the regular Placeholders with one exception.
In the Edit placeholder dialog, the filling asset field is being locked because it is being controlled by its linked Ci element. This link can be removed by clicking Unlink, which turns the Ci Linked placeholder back into a regular placeholder, where the filling asset can be individually specified.
