Prepare a Schedule system as Connected Library
In order to use a Schedule system as Connected Library you first have to create a Library Access user, which will be used on the accessing system to log into the library.
To do so:
- Go to the user management page
- Click on Create user
- For user role select Library Access
- Fill out username and password and click Create
- See the new user under technical accounts
Hint: Your password cannot be displayed a second time. If you forget it, you have to create a new Library Access user.
Connect the Schedule library as an external library
To connect a new Schedule library:
- Select "Videos" in the library dropdown.
- Click on "More" in the library.
- Select "Manage libraries".
In the "Manage libraries" dialog:
- Click "Add" in the top right corner of the dialog.
- Select "Schedule Connected Library" from the dropdown.
In the "Modify Schedule Connected Library" dialog:
- Library name: Enter the name of your Schedule library.
- Server URL: Enter the server URL of the schedule server you want to connect to.
- Username: Enter the username of the user you have created on the source system.
- Password: Enter the password of the user from the source system.
Click Save changes to continue.
Access the Schedule Connected Library
After you have connected your new Schedule Connected Library, switch to the library folder to access and use your cloud files.
Hint: The files that are being accessed this way only resemble the content of the Video folder on the source system.
