This page describes how to attach external libraries to your LTN Schedule instance. There are generally two ways to attach external Cloud storages such as AWS S3 or Azure Storage, Wasabi, Google Drive, Google Storage or Dropbox.
Click the manage library option within the burger menu to enter the manage (external) libraries configuration:
Click the + symbol to select which library type you would like to add:
Please see the detailed descriptions how to connect your specific external library provider from the links below this article for more information of the specific configuration process.
After the connection process is finished, the library is displayed in the list of external libraries:
Scan of new media assets within the new library happens automatically in the background. If you manually want to re-scan the complete library, you can hover with your mouse over the last scan date field and click on rescan now:
Using assets from connected external libraries
To browse, preview and use files from your connected external library, select the specific library within the library dropdown. Your files will be instantly listed up and can be used within the playlist.
You can now use files from your external library within the playlist (list view or calendar view). After dragging an asset from the connected cloud library into the playlist, this asset will be cached locally on the LTN Schedule system, to make sure that the external media will reliably be available for the playback.
You will find (e.g. for deletion / clean up of your local storage) all cached files within the imported from external folder within your local asset library.
-----
Hint: If you want to delete unused cached elements automatically after some time, you can use the auto delete unused library asset elements feature.
